AGP, graphics hardware technology first introduced in 1996 by the American integrated-circuit manufacturer Intel Corporation. AGP was adopted by most computer hardware manufacturers, quickly supplanting PCI as the standard used for graphics cards. AGP was replaced in turn about 2010 by PCI Express.
